How would you describe your personal style?
Simple but elegant.
What does fashion mean to you?
Fashion is a mean of expression. It’s about confidence. It’s when you can put on a favourite outfit and it changes the way you feel about the world. I believe that if you look good you’re able to feel good.
Who is your style icon?
Goodness, there are so many! From Beyonce to Marilyn Monroe. But the one that has always stuck with me is Audrey Hepburn – classic, elegant, effortless and just so stunning.
What is the one fashion item that you loved as a teenager that you now cringe at?
A crop top.
What fashion item do you like to splurge?
A good pair of jeans or shoes.
What are the three statement pieces every woman should have in her wardrobe?
- A little black dress
- A great fitting pair of jeans
- Sexy underwear
What, in your opinion, is the ultimate accessory?
Earrings. It can change your look in seconds.
What’s your earliest memory of fashion?
My cousins 2 pieces that were handed down to me. Lol oh and shoulder pads. Good old days lol
Stilettos or block heels?
If you had to choose 5 fives items of clothing to wear for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
Jeans: they’re comfy and you can dress them up or down
My wrap maxi dress: I love the flow of it and it always gets me ready for summer and spring
My leather jacket: it goes with everything
My winter coat: I feel like I can take over the world with it on
Skirts: from leather to chiffon to pleated – I feel so feminine in a skirt
What’s your best kept fashion secret?
Simplicity and comfort is key.
What’s the strangest fashion trend you’ve ever seen?
Oh my word, there are so many! Detachable jeans, double jeans, clear plastic pants and skirts. Let me stop there.
